Report: Ottman Azaitar vs. Matt Frevola Added To UFC 257

A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC 257 as Ottman Azaitar is in action against Matt Frevola.

MMA Junkie first reported the news.

Azaitar (13-0-0) has already earned two wins in the UFC, with those coming over Teemu Packalen and Khama Worthy. Azaitar has competed 13 times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those encounters went the distance. Azaitar has seen his last three fights end within the first round and it has been over three years since the fighter fought past round one.

Frevola (8-1-1) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, with those wins coming over Jalin Turner and Luis Pena. Frevola is competing for the first time in over a year, as his last bout happened at UFC Fight Night Tampa in October of 2019. Frevola also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 8, defeating Jose Flores by second round submission.

UFC 257 takes place on Saturday, January 23 from a location to be announced with Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
