Luis Pena Apologizes After Missing Weight For UFC Fight Night Nashville
Luis Pena is back in action tonight on the main card of UFC Fight Night Nashville, facing Steven Peterson in a featherweight division attraction.
The fighter was the only competitor to miss weight for tonight’s card, which has promoted Pena to issue an apology, which was done via Twitter:

Tonight’s bout between Pena and Peterson will still go on as planned, but Pena did get fined for coming in 2.5 pounds overweight. The fight against Peterson is Pena’s UFC Featherweight Division debut, as he previously competed at lightweight in the promotion.
This weekend was a big one for fighters missing weight, as Roman Huerta didn’t even weigh in for a bout against Christian Edwards at Bellator 218, as the fighter was already five pounds over the contracted weight limit on the test scale. That miss prompted Edwards to shred the fighter’s miss through a post on Instagram.
UFC Fight Night Nashville takes place tonight from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee with Stephen Thompson and Anthony Pettis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
