Report: Jalin Turner Faces Matt Frevola At UFC 236
A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC 236 according to Sherdog as Jalin Turner is going to be in action against Matt Frevola.
Turner (8-4-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone coming against Callan Potter at UFC 234. Turner also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 12, defeating Max Mustaki by first round TKO. Turner has competed a total of twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and only one of those encounters went to the judges scorecards.
Frevola (6-1-1) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping a bout to Marco Polo Reyes at UFC Fight Night St. Louis and fighting Lando Vannata to a majority draw at UFC 230. Frevola also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 8, defeating Luke Flores by second round submission. Frevola hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last win coming on the aforementioned contender series event in August of 2017.
UFC 236 takes place on Saturday, April 13 from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia with Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
