Report: Ray Borg Off UFC Fight Night Denver, Gets Blasted By Mike Perry

Ray Borg is suffering from undisclosed medical issues and has been pulled from this Saturday Nights UFC Fight Night Denver card according to MMA Junkie, where he was supposed to fight Joseph Benavidez.

The UFC also doesn’t have enough time to find a suitable replacement for Benavidez to fight, meaning that he has been pulled from the card as well.

A bout between Beneil Dariush and Thiago Moises has been moved from the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card to the main card to replace the canned flyweight fight. Also, a bout between John Gunther and Davi Ramos has been shifted from the UFC Fight Pass portion of the preliminary card to the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card.

Mike Perry, who is competing at UFC Fight Night Denver and a teammate of Borg’s at Team Jackson-Winklejohn says the fighter isn’t injured, but scared to fight this weekend.

“He’s not fighting on this card? Aw man, that illness is, man . . .” Perry said to Aaron Bronsteter of TSN Sports. “He got caught, bro. He was talking s**t about Frank the Tank [JacksonWink striking coach Frank Lester] on his wife’s Instagram story in the background. We heard him talking. ‘I don’t like Frank the Tank. I don’t think he’s a good coach’ and this and that, and he don’t know nothing about Frank. He’s just a f*cking hater and that’s why his b*tch-ass ain’t showing up this week to f*cking fight like a man. Sick, you come down with illness. B*tch you scared!”

UFC Fight Night Denver takes place on Saturday, November 10 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with Chan Sung Jung and Yair Rodriguez headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
