Report: Thiago Moises Replaces Chris Gruetzemacher At UFC Fight Night Denver
Chris Gruetzemacher has suffered an injury and has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Denver according to Laerte Viana of Super Lutas, replacing him against Beneil Dariush is going to be Thiago Moises.
Dariush (14-4-1) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, having dropped bouts to the duo of Edson Barboza and Alexander Hernandez. Dariush hasn’t gotten a win in almost two years, with that last victory coming over Rashid Magomedov at UFC Fight Night 98. Dariush has seen six of his professional MMA bouts go the distance, with Dariush winning five of those encounters.
Moises (11-2-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Moises competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil Episode 3, defeating Gleidson Moraes Cutis by first round TKO. Moises is also a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Lightweight Champion, defeating David Castillo to win the gold in February of 2016.
UFC Fight Night Denver takes place on Saturday, November 10 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with Frankie Edgar and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
