Dana White Officially Announces Fight Island, Four Events To Be Held In 2 Week Span

After months of speculation, it has finally arrived because UFC President Dana White has finally revealed that Fight Island is ready to hold events starting with UFC 251 on July 11. Other dates for the first two weeks worth of Fight Island events are July 15, July 18 and July 25.

The island is located at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, which is what Raphael Marinho of Combate reported last week and UFC fighter Herbert Burns accidentally revealed during a UFC 250 post-fight interview.

Both the UFC Twitter page and White’s Twitter page revealed the UFC Octagon on a beach setting for Fight Island:

White also appeared on ESPN First Take earlier today, revealing that UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski vs. Max Holloway, UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman vs. Gilbert Burns and Jose Aldo vs. Petr Yan for the vacant UFC Bantamweight Champion are all on tap for UFC 251, which is something Ariel Helwani of ESPN first reported late last night.

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker and Darren Till is expected to headline the July 25 card on Fight Island, but main events for the July 15 and July 18 cards haven’t been revealed at this time.
