Report: Robert Whittaker vs. Darren Till Headlining July 25 UFC Card
A middleweight division attraction will headline the July 25 UFC card as #1 Robert Whittaker faces #4 Darren Till.
Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the bout rebooking, as it was originally set to happen at UFC Fight Night Dublin in August.
Whittaker (20-5-0) is competing for the first time since losing the UFC Middleweight Title to Israel Adesanya at UFC 243. Whittaker first won the UFC Middleweight Championship at UFC 213 and he defended the gold once before losing it. Whittaker is headlining a Fight Night card for the first time in over three years, with his last such appearance coming at UFC Fight Night 101 in November of 2016.
Till (18-2-1) has been undefeated since moving up to middleweight, having defeated Kelvin Gastelum by split decision at UFC 244. Till has previously challenged for the UFC Welterweight Title, losing to then champion Tyron Woodley at UFC 228. Till has picked up eighteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and ten of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till takes place on Saturday, July 25 from a location to be announced with Robert Whittaker and Darren Till headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
