UFC On Fox 30 Ratings Are In — Lowest Of UFC On Fox, Still Wins
UFC On Fox 30 took place this past Saturday Night, with Dustin Poirier defeated former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez in the main event.
The show may have provided plenty of action packed moments and top ranked fighters, but it did not deliver in the ratings, drawing an average of 1,678,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting. That is an all time low for the UFC On Fox series, which was previously held by a UFC On Fox 27 card headlined by Ronaldo Souza and Derek Brunson.
It was the aforementioned main event fight between Poirier and Alvarez that brought in the most viewers, with 2,338,000 checking out that event. Other fighters on the main card saw Jose Aldo defeat Jeremy Stephens, Joanna Jedrzejczyk defeat Tecia Torres and Alex Hernandez defeat Olivier Aubin-Mercier. The main card also streamed live on Fox Sports Go and Fox Now, bringing in an additional 16,109 viewers.
A four fight preliminary card also aired live on Fox, with Jordan Mein and Alex Morono in the featured spot, bringing in an additional 939,000 viewers. Other fights on the preliminary card saw Hakeem Dawodu defeat Austin Arnett, Islam Makhachev defeat Kajan Johnson and Ion Cutelaba defeat Gadzhimurad Antigulov. The prelims also aired live on Fox Sports Go and Fox Now, bringing in an additional 13,895 viewers.
Up next for the UFC is UFC 227, with a four fight preliminary card airing on FX, with Pedro Munhoz and Brett Johns in the featured spot.
