Former WBC, IBO and Ring Magazine Light Heavyweight Champion Jean Pascal announced his retirement this past December, ending a 39 fight career.
However, it would appear that the multi-time boxing champion is coming back from retirement to face UFC veteran Steve Bosse in a boxing match on June 29.
It was Pascal who announced the bout through Twitter:
It’s official Pascal vs Bossé is on! June 29th it’s Time to put his boxing career on ice and send him back To MMA.

Bosse, who has fought a total of 14 times as a professional MMA fighter, has competed just once as a professional boxer. That one bout in the boxing ring took place in February of this year, as he defeated Julio Cuellar Cabrera by second round knockout. Bosse is also a former semi-professional hockey player, but he left that sport in 2009 to pursue an MMA career.
This bout between Pascal and Bosse has some similarities to last years super fight between Floyd Mayweather and former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor. The biggest similarity may be that Mayweather had fought 49 times (Pascal has fought 39 times), while McGregor was making his pro boxing debut (while Bosse has fought once) in the bout.
