Steve Bosse hasn’t been seen in the Octagon since earning a unanimous decision win over Sean O’Connell at UFC Fight Night 89 in June of 2016.
The MMA fighter has since transitioned to the world of professional boxing according to TVA Sports and the Canadian is set to make his pro boxing debut on February 15 against Julio Cuellar Cabrera.
Cabrera has far more pro boxing experience when compared to Bosse, as the veteran has a record of 12-6-0, with eleven wins coming by way of knockout.
It is unknown if Bosse will one day return to MMA or if the remainder of his combat sports career will take place in the boxing ring.
Bosse went 2-1-0 in the UFC (12-2-0 overall), picking up those two wins over the duo of James Te Huna and the aforementioned Sean O’Connell. The former hockey player also earned notable wins over UFC veterans Houston Alexander, Wes Sims and Marvin Eastman before signing with the UFC in mid-2015.
During his fourteen fight professional MMA career, a soon to be boxing Bosse earned two victories by decision, with the rest of those wins coming by KO/TKO. Bosse has also signed with promoter Yvon Michel, who is best known for being the promoter of Adonis Stevenson.
