Report: UK NXT Roster Members Making Over $30,000

WWE has reportedly started to pay United Kingdom talent more.

Last month, WWE announced a new United Kingdom based show for the WWE Network called NXT UK. The show and the aggressive signing of United Kingdom talent has been part of Triple H’s “global localization” plan while also competing with ITV’s World of Sport in United Kingdom.

According to a report by WrestleTalk Magazine, the wrestlers signed to perform at the NXT UK tapings are making $31,600 and that payout was an increase from previous similar contracts because WWE is attempting to outbid ITV’s World of Sport.

WWE has recently signed wrestlers like Toni Storm and Zack Gibson to these United Kingdom contracts which allow them to wrestle at approved promotions outside of WWE. Gibson won the last United Kingdom tournament at Royal Albert Hall where the NXT UK show was first announced.

In the video above, Pro Wrestling Unlimited examines the reports of pay for the NXT UK wrestlers and the lengths of the contracts.

Fightful Wrestling will have coverage and results when the NXT UK show premieres.
