Report: Chris DeJoseph Recently Met With IMPACT Wrestling About Coming In As A Writer

It looks like Chris DeJoseph is looking to add IMPACT Wrestling to his extensive resume as a creative staffmember in wrestling.

Chris DeJoseph, formerly Big Dick Johnson on WWE television, has had a hand in some of the most unique wrestling television. Playing a part in Lucha Underground’s creative as well as having roles in the creative of Major League Wrestling, and two stints on the WWE writing team, DeJoseph is an experienced mind that brings a lot to the table for any company.

A report from Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer notes that Chris recently met with IMPACT Wrestling about the prospect of coming in as a writer. While the report does not further State whether the meeting was successful, it does note that DeJoseph met with Major League Wrestling but was turned down.

After his first run with WWE, DeJoseph went on to be an executive producer of the Lucha Underground series on El Rey Network and was briefly a part of the team at Major League Wrestling before leaving them in December to return to WWE.

The second run in WWE did not last as long as the first as he was let go on May 30, 2020. DeJoseph would later go on to say that he did not want to be a “slave to the whims of one man” and note that Vince McMahon had tightened his inner circle in recent years. Learn more about that at this link.
