Darby Allin Is More Concerned With Giving His All In Every Match Than Having A Long Career
Darby Allin is more about quality over quantity when it comes to planning out the longevity of his wrestling career.
Darby Allin is one of the most deliberate professional wrestlers currently active in 2021. He utilizes his whole body for all of his offense and always attacks his opponents with full intent while also merging unique offense with that of the daredevils of the past such as Jeff Hardy.
Speaking on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, Darby explains that he is not worried about having longevity in his career. He is more concerned with giving his all at every moment and then moving on to pursue other passions when his career is over.
“I’m all in or nothing, for the most part, and I always made a commitment to myself that I’d rather have a real short career and then just push it hard every day, then just try to focus on outside projects when the time’s up,” said Allin. “As of right now, I feel like I’m just gonna keep going and going and going until my wheels fall off but I feel wonderful right now. I’ve been doing DDP Yoga with Dallas over in his house and I’m insane about physical therapy and you know, I don’t take any drugs. I don’t take aspirin or anything like that. I just take a bunch of ice baths and you know, yoga and just… yeah, man.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Darby Allin spoke about his rivalry with Ethan Page and why he is happy to pay it forward for the Canadian native in AEW. Learn more here.
