Darby Allin Says He’s Happy To Pay It Forward For Ethan Page In AEW
Darby Allin is glad to pay it forward for Ethan Page.
Recently, Darby Allin and Ethan Page have renewed their feud in AEW. Darby and Ethan Page were embroiled in a rivalry and Darby tells Wrestling Perspective that Page is his first major rivalry and they helped make one another.
“It sounds like a cliche, but I think it’s a guy like Ethan Page. Because we were — I was a random kid from a seminar and I got picked to wrestle him and get my ass kicked for three minutes in a squash match. But the fact that he took the time to build a story out of that, and then we’ve been feuding ever since, you know, it means a lot. With him, I felt like, ‘Okay, this is a big deal because it’s hard to have people like sometimes, like some people that are like, on the big parts of the indies, to really like, take the time out and, you know, kind of cut a promo on some random kid from the seminar and the fact that he did that, you know, and we build something out of that meant a lot to me. So now it’s like, in a weird way, I’m like repaying the favor. On the AEW scale of just, I’m going to make this full [circle] like he kind of did on the independents with me. So, you know, and if someone has to break it out while they get there, we’ll cross that bridge.”
Darby and Ethan continue to be on opposite ends of the ring, most recently with Darby teamed with Sting at Double or Nothing.
