AEW Dynamite Viewership Rises For Brodie Lee Tribute Show, NXT Viewership Falls On 12/30
AEW Dynamite viewership rises for the heavily praised Brodie Lee tribute episode, NXT sees viewership fall below 600,000.
According to Showbuzz Daily, the December 30 episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 977,000 viewers, which is up from the 775,000 viewers the December 23 episode drew. As for NXT, this week’s show drew 586,000 viewers, down from December 16’s 698,000 viewers.
AEW drew a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic this week, which is up from last week’s number, and fourth-best in all of cable for the day. NXT drew a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic this week (58th best on cable), which is down from last week’s rating. AEW’s rating among males in the 18-49 demographic grew with a 0.54 rating.
AEW Dynamite this week paid tribute to Brodie Lee who unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020. NXT featured the final hype for this week’s New Year’s Evil event and saw the return of main roster superstars Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado as well as the presentation of the 2020 NXT Year-End Awards.
