Report: PFL Signs Brendan Loughnane
After an unsuccessful bid to capture a UFC contract after appearing on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, it would appear that Brendan Loughnane has found a home in the Professional Fighters League.
The newly signed fighter revealed on Twitter than he had signed a contract with a promotion, but didn’t mention the promotion by name, but did mention the $1 million prize offered by the PFL. Loughnane is expected to compete in season three at featherweight, but may compete in a bout before season two comes to an end according to ESPN.
Loughnane (17-3-0) enters the promotion while in the midst of a three fight winning streak, which includes the win on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 1. Loughnane has also fought once in the UFC, dropping a bout to Mike Wilkinson by unanimous decision at UFC On FX 6. Loughnane has suffered just three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those defeats came by way of decision.
Lance Palmer is the current king of the PFL Featherweight Division after becoming the season one champion, while the season two featherweight champion is going to be determined this December.
