Report: Vince Morales Replaces Martin Day At UFC Fight Night Sacramento

Martin Day has suffered a knee injury and has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Sacramento according to MMA Junkie, replacing him against Benito Lopez is going to be Vince Morales.

Morales (9-3-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, defeating Aiemann Zahabi and suffering a defeat to Yadong Song. Morales also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13, suffering a second round submission loss to Domingo Pilarte. Morales has seen his last three bouts go the distance and it has been over a year since the fighter got a finish.

Lopez (9-1-0) is looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came against Manny Bermudez at UFC Fight Night Brooklyn. Lopez had previously picked up one win in the UFC, which came over Albert Morales at UFC Fight Night Fresno. Lopez has seen just four of his professional MMA bouts go the distance and the fighter picked up wins in all of those fights.

UFC Fight Night Sacramento takes place on Saturday, July 13 from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California with Aspen Ladd and Germaine De Randamie headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
