Report: Alistair Overeem Faces Sergey Pavlovich At UFC Fight Night Beijing

A heavyweight division attraction is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night Beijing according to Farah Hannoun as #6 Alistair Overeem faces Sergey Pavlovich.

Overeem (43-17-0-1NC) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, having dropped bouts to the duo of Francis Ngannou and Curtis Blaydes. Overeem has previously challenged for the UFC Heavyweight Title, losing to then champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 203. Overeem is competing on a “Fight Night” card for the first time in over two years, with his last such appearance coming at UFC Fight Night 87 in May of 2016.

Pavlovich (12-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has already lasted over three years. Pavlovich is the current Fight Nights Global Heavyweight Champion, but relinquished the title upon signing with the UFC earlier this year. Pavlovich is also returning to action for the first time in over a year, as his last bout took place in November of 2017.

UFC Fight Night Beijing takes place on Saturday, November 24 from the Cadillac Arena in beijing, China with Curtis Blaydes and Francis Ngannou headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
