Report: Artem Frolov Replacing Omari Akhmedov At UFC Fight Night Moscow

Omari Akhmedov has suffered an injury and has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Moscow according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA, replacing him against CB Dollaway is going to be Artem Frolov.

Dollaway (17-8-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, with those wins coming over Ed Herman and Hector Lombard. Dollaway is competing on a “Fight Night” card for the first time in over three years, holding a record of 4-1-0 at such events. Dollaway competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 7, making it to the finals before losing to Amir Sadollah.

Frolov (11-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over four years. Frolov has defeated three UFC fighters prior to signing with the promotion, with those UFC vets being Joe Riggs, Caio Magalhaes and Luigi Fioravanti. Frolov is the current M-1 Challenge Middleweight Champion, defeating the aforementioned Magalhaes to win the gold in October of 2017.

UFC Fight Night Moscow takes place on Saturday, September 15 from the Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia with Mark Hunt and Aleksei Oleinik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
