UFC 223 Preliminary Card Ratings Are In
This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to a circus of craziness called UFC 223, which took place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
While the weekend may be best remembered for former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor attacking a bus full of UFC fighters, it was also a weekend filled with some excellent bouts, four of which were part of the preliminary card that aired live on Fox Sports 1.
The four fight preliminary card, with Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Felice Herrig in the featured spot, brought in 852,000 viewers. It was the featured bout between Kowalkiewicz and Herrig that brought in the most viewers, with 1,057,000 people checking out that encounter.
Other fights on the preliminary card saw Devin Clark defeat Mike Rodriguez, Ashlee Evans-Smith defeat Bec Rawlings and Olivier Aubin-Mercier defeat Evan Dunham.
A pre-fight show aired on Fox Sports 1 and that drew 373,000 viewers, while the post-fight show on Fox Sports 1 brought in 138,000 viewers.
There were weigh-ins held the day before, with the live airing on Fox Sports 2 bringing in 47,000 viewers and a replay on Fox Sports 1 brought in 128,000 viewers.
Up next for the UFC is UFC On Fox 29, which takes place this Saturday with Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier in the main event slot.
