Report: UFC 232 Main Event Fighter Salaries
UFC 232 takes place tomorrow night, with former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jones facing Alexander Gustafsson for the soon to be vacated light heavyweight title, while Cyborg defends the UFC Women’s Featherweight Title against UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes.
The main event fighters and co-main event fighters are expected to earn almost $2 million between them according to MMA Fighting.
Jones and Gustafsson are expected to earn $500,000 each, while Cyborg is also expected to earn $500,000 and Nunes is expected to take home $350,000. Even though she is one of two champions competing on the card, it is Nunes who will represent the lowest earner of the four main event competitors. It should also be noted that such sums as bonuses or other discretionary funds to the fighters haven’t been released at this time.
While the salaries for the four main event competitors were released by MMA Fighting, which obtained them from the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), no financial numbers have been released for the rest of the fighters competing at UFC 232.
UFC 232 takes place on Saturday, December 29 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
