Report: Robert Whittaker’s Manager Arrested, Allegedly Defrauded Client Of $1.15 Million

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker will battle Darren Till later this month in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till.

However, there appears to be an outside of the Octagon issue that could affect the fighter as his manager has been arrested for allegedly defrauding a client of $1.15 million.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Titus Day, who is Whittaker’s manager, was arrested after a length court battle with Guy Sebastian, who had accused Day of defrauding him of over one million dollars. The courts have also ordered Day to liquidate 6 Degrees Management, which is a management firm ran and operated by Day. Whittaker is actually represented by Rival Management Sports, which is run by Day and his wife.

Day was actually arrested last week according to News.Co.Au and has been charged with “61 counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.” Ross Hudson, who is a court magistrate, also ruled that Day is to have no contact with Sebastian, unless it is through a legal representative. Day is also accused of receiving twenty four separate payments for services performed by Sebastian, with only five of them making it into Sebastian’s monetary accounts.

Husdon also issued a warning that Day’s alleged fraudulent activities may not be centralized to just Sebastian, as it could have happened to others represented by him.
