Report: Raquel Pennington Faces Marion Reneau On June 20 UFC Card

A women’s bantamweight division attraction will go down on the June 20 UFC card as #6 Raquel Pennington faces #10 Marion Reneau.

MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.

Pennington (10-8-0) has won just one of her last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Irene Aldana at UFC Fight Night San Antonio. Pennington has previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title, losing to Amanda Nunes at UFC 224. Pennington has suffered eight losses as a professional MMA fighter, with six of them coming to those who have held or challenged for UFC gold.

Reneau (9-5-1) comes into the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Cat Zingano and Yana Kunitskaya. Reneau hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years, with that last win coming over Sara McMann at UFC On Fox 28. Reneau has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come by way of decision.

The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, June 20 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
