Report: Holly Holm Signs Six Fight Contract With The UFC
Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm is staying with the promotion for the time being as the fighter has signed a new six fight deal with the UFC.
Lenny Fresquez is Holm’s agent and Fresquez is telling ESPN that he is very happy with Holm’s new deal.
“I’m very happy with the deal,” Fresquez said. “We worked feverishly with the UFC to get this done.”
Holm was reportedly set to fight Aspen Ladd at UFC 235 earlier this month, but the bout was pulled from the card. It would later be reported that Holm was reportedly going to fight UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 237, but Nunes canned that bout due to a lack of preparation time.
Fresquez says that Holm is ready to get back to work, but did not reveal any potential future plans for the fighter.
“We’re ready to get to work,” Fresquez said. “I’m sure the UFC will have some great plans to announce for Holly in the near future.”
The former women’s bantamweight champion holds a 5-4-0 record under the UFC banner and has also failed on two separate occasions to capture the UFC Women’s Featherweight Title, which is currently held by Nunes.
