Report: Gregor Gillespie Faces Yancy Medeiros At UFC Fight Night Brooklyn

A lightweight division attraction is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night Brooklyn according to Newsday as Gregor Gillespie is going to be in action against Yancy Medeiros.

Gillespie (12-0-0) is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has already lasted over four years. Gillespie has already competed five times under the UFC banner, having beaten Vinc Pichel, Glaico Franca, Andrew Holbrook, Jason Gonzalez and Jordan Rinaldi. Gillespie has competed twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those encounters went the distance.

Medeiros (15-5-0-1NC) has won three of his last four in UFC competition, but his last fight was a loss to Donald Cerrone at UFC Fight Night Austin. Medeiros is back in action for the first time in almost a year, with the last bout happening in February of 2018. Medeiros has picked up fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those wins have come by KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night Brooklyn takes place on Saturday, January 19 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
