Donald Cerrone Doesn’t Care That Jon Jones Competes While On Drugs
Donald Cerrone is currently in the midst of preparing to battle former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 213.
Cerrone is also the teammate of former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, who has had a history of drug problems in the past.
According to “Cowboy,” it doesn’t matter if Jones is doing any drugs, as long as he’s winning in the end.
“I don’t know. He looks good. Yeah he’s training hard, he’s in the gym. F—k, I dunno. If Jon wants to do drugs and still kick ass, you go ahead baby. Do your thing,” Cerrone said to TMZ Sports.
This is going to be the first fight for Jones since he was suspended a year by USADA prior to a match with UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 200.
Daniel Cormier and Jones also had quite the altercation before and during the UFC Summer Kickoff Press Conference, which Cerrone says was Cormier's way to get the challenger fired up.
“Naw, he’s just trying to get Jon fired up. But a pissed off Jon is bad, man," says Cerrone.
UFC 213 takes place on Saturday, July 8 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and UFC 214 takes place on Saturday, July 29 from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
