Report: Geoff Neal Faces Neil Magny On August 29 UFC Card

A welterweight division attraction has been added to the recently announced UFC card on August 29 as #10 Geoff Neal faces #14 Neil Magny.

Brett Okamoto of ESPN first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.

Neal (13-2-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, picking up notable wins over Belal Muhammad, Niko Price and Mike Perry. Neal also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 3, defeating Chase Waldon by first round TKO. Neal has picked up thirteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of KO/TKO.

Magny (23-7-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, defeating the duo of Jingliang Li and Anthony Rocco Martin. Magny hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years, with that last loss coming to Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires. Magny has competed thirty times as a professional MMA fighter and nearly half of those encounters went the distance.

The recently announced UFC card is set for Saturday, August 29 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
