Report: Dillon Danis vs. Max Humphrey Rescheduled For Bellator 222
A catchweight division attraction between Dillon Danis and Max Humphrey, originally scheduled for Bellator 221, has been rescheduled for Bellator 222.
The announcement was made on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, but no reason has been given at this time as to why the change was made.
Danis (1-0-0) made his professional MMA debut just under a year ago at Bellator 198, defeating Kyle Walker by way of first round submission. Danis trains out of SBG Ireland, which is the home of former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor and a host of other fighters. Danis is also competing for the first time since serving a suspension issued by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for his role in the UFC 229 post-fight brawl.
Humphrey (3-2-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and the fighter hasn’t won a bout in over a year. Humphrey has competed five times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those bouts went past the second round. Humphrey has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter, with one coming by KO/TKO and one coming by way of submission.
Bellator 222 takes place on Friday, June 14 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
