Report: Desmond Green Faces Gleison Tibau At UFC Fight Night Utica
A lightweight division encounter is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night Utica card according to UticaOD.com as Desmond Green battles Gleison Tibau.
Green (20-7-0) enters the contest in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Rustam Khabilov and Michel Prazeres. Green hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last win coming over Josh Emmett at UFC 210 in April of 2017. Green is a former Titan Fighting Championships Featherweight Champion, defeating UFC veteran Steven Siler to win the gold at Titan FC 32.
Tibau (33-13-0) will come into the Octagon riding a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a victory in over three years. Tibau has suffered a total of eleven losses under the UFC banner, with two of those losses coming to former or current UFC Lightweight/Interim Lightweight Champions. Tibau has seen his last three fights end within the opening round and it has been over three years since the fighter got past the first round.
UFC Fight Night Utica takes place on Friday, June 1 from the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, New York with Marlon Moraes and Jimmie Rivera headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
