Report: Cory Sandhagen Pulled From UFC Fight Night Raleigh

Cory Sandhagen expected to face former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night Raleigh, but Edgar accepted a short notice opportunity at UFC Fight Night Busan and Sandhagen was left without a foe to battle.

There was still a small chance that Sandhagen and Edgar could battle next month, but Edgar has been medically suspended for 180 days and without the bout happening now, it has been reported by MMA DNA that Sandhagen has also been pulled from UFC Fight Night Raleigh.

Sandhagen commented on the matter via Instagram, while also calling out some potential future opponents:

 

 

UFC Fight Night Raleigh takes place on Saturday, January 25 from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina with Curtis Blaydes and Junior Dos Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
