Report: Carlos Condit Injured, Off UFC Fight Night Washington DC
Next months UFC Fight Night Washington DC card has taken another hit because former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit has suffered an undisclosed injury and has been pulled from a bout against Mickey Gall.
MMA Junkie first reported the news, but the exact nature of Condit’s injury or a timeline for his return isn’t known at this time. Gall is expected to remain on the card at this time, as UFC officials are seeking a replacement for him to fight.
Gall (6-2-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC bouts, with the latest bout being a unanimous decision win over Salim Touahri at UFC Fight Night Newark. Gall has picked up five wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of those victories came by way of submission. Gall has only competed just once outside the UFC as a professional MMA fighter, which was a first round submission win over Ron Templeton at Dead Serious MMA 17.
UFC Fight Night Washington DC takes place on Saturday, December 7 from the Capitol One Arena in Washington DC with Alistair Overeem and Jairzinho Rozenstruik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
