Marcus Davis Returning After 6+ Year Absence, Faces Nick Alley At Premier FC 31
Former UFC and Bellator MMA fighter Marcus Davis, who hasn’t competed since February of 2014, will return to action this October at Premier FC 31, facing Nick Alley in a welterweight division attraction.
The promotion announced the bout through Instagram:
Davis (22-11-0-1NC) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Alexander Sarnavskiy and Ryan Sanders. Davis hasn’t picked up a victory in over seven years, with that last win coming over Darrius Heyliger at NEF Fight Night 7. Davis picked up nine wins in the UFC, with notable wins coming over Shonie Carter, Pete Spratt, Paul Kelly, Chris Lytle and Jonathan Goulet.
Alley (3-2-0) is competing for the first time in over a year, with his last bout being a first round submission win over Jay Ellis at Combat Zone 69. Alley did competed once under the Bellator MMA banner, suffering a first round TKO loss to Kastriot Xhema at Bellator 178. Alley has competed five times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts have gone past the second round.
Premier FC 31 takes place on Saturday, October 3 from The Massmutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts with Marcus Davis and Nick Alley headlining.
