LeRoy Johnson Gets Emergency Surgery After KO Loss At PFL 7, Fiancee Says He’s Able To Stand Again
This past Thursday saw the Professional Fighters League (PFL) close their regular season with the PFL 7 card.
The event kicked off with a heavyweight division contest that saw Muhammed Dereese defeat LeRoy Johnson via first round knockout via knee strike to the head.
Johnson remained unconscious for quite awhile after the bout and had to be stretchered out of the cage before being transported to a local hospital.
Things would take a turn for the worse for Johnson because the fighter would have to get emergency surgery for a vertebrae this slipped out of place and another surgery for high blood pressure.
Daniel Rubenstein serves as Johnson’ manager and he posted the following on Twitter:
For those wondering about LeRoy Johnson, here’s the update I have. had emergency surgery for a vertebrae that slipped out of place & a 2nd surgery for high blood pressure issues. Has feeling in arms and legs. PFL flying his fiancé to Philly to be with him. Thats all I know now
