Report: Four Fights Added To Bellator 249, Christian Edwards In Action
Four more fights have been added to next month’s Bellator 249 card.
Christian Edwards faces Hamza Salim, Kyle Crutchmer faces Kemran Lachinov, Tony Johnson faces Joseph Creer and Mike Kimbel faces Da’mon Blackshear. Sherdog first reported the bouts.
Edwards (3-0-0) has spent his entire pro MMA career in Bellator with two of his three victories coming by KO/TKO. Salim (5-3-0) is winless thus far under the Bellator banner, dropping a bout to Grant Neal at Bellator 243.
Crutchmer (6-0-0) has already picked up two wins in Bellator competition, defeating the duo of Robert Gidron and Scott Futrell. Lachinov (9-2-0) is undefeated in Bellator and he is also the current Reality Fighting welterweight champion.
Johnson (8-3-0) has won two of two in Bellator with those wins coming over Joe Schilling and Mike Ortega. Creer (7-1-1) has won two of three thus far in Bellator, with those victories coming over Devorious Tubbs and Ty Gwerder.
Kimbel (3-2-0) has spent his whole professional MMA career in Bellator and just one of his bouts went past the opening round. Blackshear (7-3-0) is making his Bellator debut in this bout and the fighter is a former Conflict MMA Productions featherweight champion.
Bellator 249 takes place on Thursday, October 15 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Cris Cyborg and Arlene Blencowe headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the CBS Sports Network.
