Report: Christian Aguilera Faces Anthony Ivy At UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo
A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo as Christian Aguilera faces Anthony Ivy.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, which is expected to be a part of the preliminary card.
Aguilera (13-6-0) will be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Aguilera hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year, with that last loss coming to David Michaud at LFA 59 in February of 2019. Aguilera has picked up thirteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and ten of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Ivy (8-2-0) is also going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on a five fight winning streak. Ivy is the current Warriors Xtreme Challenge Welterweight Champion, defeating Willis Black to win the gold at WXC 82. Ivy has competed a total of ten times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo takes place on Saturday, June 13 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
