Brendan Loughnane Faces David Alex Valente At PFL Season 2 Finale
A featherweight division attraction has been added to the PFL Season 2 Finale as Brendan Loughnane faces Davis Alex Valente.
The PFL announced the bout today via Twitter and the fight is expected to be a part of the preliminary card.
Loughnane (18-3-0) is undefeated thus far under the PFL banner, having defeated Matt Wagy by unanimous decision at PFL 7. Loughnane also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 1, defeating Bill Algeo by unanimous decision. Loughnane also went winless during a one fight stint in the UFC, dropping a bout to Mike Wilkinson at UFC On FX 6 in December of 2012.
Valente (11-4-0) is making his PFL debut in this encounter and does so while in the midst of a two fight losing streak. Valente hasn’t picked up a victory in almost two years, with that last win coming over Suraj Bahadur at the Super Fight League 2018 Semi-Finals. Valente has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of KO/TKO.
PFL Season 2 Finale takes place on Tuesday, December 31 from the Hulu Theater At Madison Square Garden with Kayla Harrison and Larissa Pacheco headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN 2.
