Ken Shamrock Mocks BMF Championship, Invites Jorge Masvidal To Valor Bare Knuckle

MMA legend Ken Shamrock has been involved with the sport since before the UFC started in late 1993.

Jorge Masvidal recently defeated Nate Diaz to win the BMF Championship at UFC 244, but Shamrock doesn’t seem to care much about the BMF Championship.

“I’m not taking anything from them, because all these guys would whip my butt right now,” Shamrock told MMA Fighting. “All I’m saying is compared to what we had to go through, getting kicked in the face, punched in the back of the head with no gloves, no rules, no time limit, four times in one night, yes, it’s funny.”

Shamrock has since transitioned to the role of promoter, as he launched Valor Bare Knuckle earlier this year.

The MMA legend has now invited the BMF Champion to compete under the Valor Bare Knuckle banner.

“I don’t think we need a belt to tell people there’s a ‘BMF’ – I don’t understand that,” Shamrock said. “Masvidal fought bare-knuckle. He did backyard brawls just like (Kimbo Slice). So I say if that’s the case, why doesn’t he try his hand at Valor? We’d love to find out how bad he is.”

There has been no response yet from Masvidal as to whether or not he would fight in Valor Bare Knuckle, as the BMF Champion is still under a UFC contract.
