Report: Aspen Ladd Appealing UFC Fight Night Sacramento Loss
A defeated Ladd believes that referee Herb Dean made an error by stopping the bout too early, which is why Ladd is planning on appealing the loss according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN.
Ladd is expected to appear in front of the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) today to appeal the loss. Ladd is looking to get the loss overturned to a no contest, while the aforementioned Dean will also be in attendance to give his side of things. De Randamie has already issued a statement to the CSAC in defense of her knockout win at UFC Sacramento according to the report.
De Randamie benefited big time from the knockout win, as she will challenge UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes for the gold at UFC 245. There is no word as to whether or not the commission’s ruling will affect that bout in any way. Ladd is going to be back in action at UFC Fight Night Washington DC, facing Yana Kunitskaya in a women’s bantamweight division attraction.
