Report: Two Fights Added To UFC Fight Night Washington DC, Aspen Ladd In Action
A pair of bouts have been added to UFC Fight Night Washington DC according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN as #5 Aspen Ladd faces #8 Yana Kunitskaya and #5 Claudia Gadelha faces #11 Cynthia Calvillo.
Ladd (8-1-0) is looking to rebound from her first professional MMA defeat, which came against Germaine De Randamie at UFC Fight Night Sacramento. Ladd has competed a total of nine times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.
Kunitskaya (12-4-0-1NC) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Lina Lansberg and Marion Reneau. Kunitskaya is a former Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion, defeating Raquel Pa’aluhi at Invicta FC 25 to claim the gold.
Gadelha (17-4-0) has rotated wins and losses in her last five UFC bouts, with the latest bout being a unanimous decision win over Randa Markos at UFC 239. Gadelha has previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Strawweight Title, losing to then champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale.
Calvillo (8-1-0) enters the contest while riding a two fight winning streak, beating the duo of Poliana Botelho and Cortney Casey. Calvillo has competed six times under the UFC banner and half of those encounters went the distance.
