Report: Park Jun Yong Faces Marc-Andre Barriault At UFC Fight Night Busan
A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Busan according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as Park Jun Yong is in action against Marc-Andre Barriault.
Yong (10-4-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Anthony Hernandez at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen. Yong also competed once in the Pacific Xtreme Combat promotion, where he defeated PFL veteran Ray Cooper III by first round submission. Yong has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Barriault (11-3-0) is also winless in UFC competition, dropping bouts to the duo of Andrew Sanchez and Krzysztof Jotko. Barriault hasn’t earned a victory in over a year, last defeating Adam Hunter by first round knockout at TKO 44 in September of 2018. Barriault is a former TKO Middleweight Champion, defeating Strahinja Gavrilovic by split decision at TKO 41 to claim the gold.
UFC Fight Night Busan takes place on Saturday, December 21 from the Sakij Arena in Busan, South Korea with Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
