Report: Marc-Andre Barriault Signs With The UFC
Marc-Andre Barriault is the current TKO MMA Light Heavyweight Champion and TKO Middleweight Champion, but he can also be called a UFC fighter because Nick Baldwin of Bloody Elbow reports that the fighter has signed a multi-bout agreement with the UFC.
The report also states that Barriault is expected to debut in early 2019, but an event and opponent haven’t been named at this time.
Barriault has an 11-1-0 record as a professional MMA fighter and will enter the UFC while on an eight fight winning streak. Barriault became the TKO MMA Middleweight Champion at TKO 41, defeating Stahinja Gavrilovic by split decision. Barriault would then become the TKO MMA Light Heavyweight Champion at TKO 44, defeating Adam Hunter by first round TKO.
This newly signed UFC fighter is known for his finishing abilities, as Barriault has picked up eight of eleven professional MMA victories by KO/TKO. Barriault has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Jonathan Vallee at Hybrid Pro Series 4 in October 2015.
Whenever Barriault does make his eventual UFC debut, it would mark the first time the fighter has competed outside of the TKO MMA promotion in over two years.
