Report: Makhmud Muradov Replaces Peter Sobotta At UFC Fight Night Copenhagen

Peter Sobotta has suffered an injury and has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Copenhagen according to Cageside Press, replacing him against Alessio Di Chirico is Makhmud Muradov.

Di Chirico (12-3-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Oluwale Bamgbose and Julian Marquez. Di Chirico is winless on UFC Fight Night cards, having dropped bouts at UFC Fight Night 86 and UFC Fight Night Greenville. Di Chirico has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of KO/TKO.

Muradov (22-6-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so while riding an eleven fight winning streak. Muradov hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost three years and that last loss came to David Ramires in December of 2016. Muradov is also the only professional MMA fighter signed by legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather’s team.

UFC Fight Night Copenhagen takes place on Saturday, September 28 from the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark with Jack Hermansson and Jared Cannonier headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
