Report: Lyman Good Faces Chance Rencountre At UFC 244

A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC 244 according to Mark La Monica of Newsday as Lyman Good is going to be in action against Chance Rencountre.

Good (20-5-0-1NC) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Ben Saunders at UFC 230. Good has competed just once a year in the UFC since debuting with the promotion in 2015, so UFC 244 will mark the first time he has competed twice for the UFC in the same year. Good is a former Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion, defeating Omar De La Cruz at Bellator 11 to claim the gold.

Rencountre (14-3-0) will enter the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Kyle Stewart and Ismail Naurdiev. Rencountre has suffered a single defeat in the UFC and that came against Belal Muhammad at UFC Fight Night Utica. Rencountre has suffered a total of three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of decision.

UFC 244 takes place on Saturday, November 2 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
