Report: Mizuki Inoue Steps In At UFC Fight Night Shenzhen

Wu Yanan was in need of a new opponent for UFC Fight Night Shenzhen after the withdrawal of Luana Carolina and now she has one because Real Fight PH is reporting that Mizuki Inoue has accepted the short notice opportunity.

Wu (10-2-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, having defeated Lauren Mueller by second round submission at UFC Fight Night Beijing. Wu has competed a total of twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and only three of those bouts went to the judges scorecards. Wu has suffered just two losses as a professional MMA fighter, with those defeats coming to a pair of fellow UFC fighters in Yana Kunitskaya and Gina Mazany.

Inoue (13-5-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this bout and does so having won five of her last six fights. Inoue has previously challenged for the Invicta FC Strawweight Title, losing to then champion Virna Jandiroba at Invicta FC 28. Inoue has picked up thirteen wins as a professional MMA fighter, with nine of those victories coming by way of submission.

UFC Fight Night Shenzhen takes place on Saturday, August 31 from the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre in Shenzhen, China with Jessica Andrade and Weili Zhang headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
