Report: Ivan Shtyrkov Replaces Abdul-Kerim Edilov At UFC Fight Night St. Petersburg

Abdul-Kerim Edilov has suffered an injury and has been pulled from UFC Fight Night St. Petersburg according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA, replacing him against Devin Clark is Ivan Shtyrkov.

Clark (9-3-0) has won three of six fights in the UFC, with those wins coming over the trio of Josh Stansbury, Jake Collier and Mike Rodriguez. Clark is actually winless when competing on Fight Night cards, dropping bouts at UFC Fight Night Gdansk and UFC Fight Night 91. Clark has seen five of his professional MMA fights go the distance and the fighter picked up wins in each of those contests.

Shtyrkov (15-0-1) enters the bout while riding a two fight winning streak, with those wins coming over the duo of Fabio Maldonado and Thiago Silva. Shtyrkov has picked up wins over a host of UFC veterans, including Jeff Monson, Ricco RodriguezAntonio Silva, Rodney Wallace and Philip De Fries, plus the aforementioned Maldonado and Silva. Shtyrkov has picked up fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter, with eleven of those victories coming by either KO/TKO and/or submission.

UFC Fight Night St. Petersburg takes place on Saturday, April 20 from the Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg, Russian with Alexander Volkov and Alistair Overeem headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
