Report: 5 Champions Returning For PFL Season 2

The second season of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) is kicking off this May and while the full rosters for each weight class have yet to be revealed, some competitors are reportedly coming back for another shot at the million dollars.

According to a report from ESPN, featherweight champion Lance Palmer, lightweight champion Natan Schulte, welterweight champion Magomed Magomedkerimov, middleweight champion Louis Taylor and heavyweight champion Philipe Lins are all expected to compete in season two. Taylor, unlike the rest of the division champions, will drop down a weight class and compete in the welterweight division.

Also, a four pack of season one competitors in Ray Cooper III, Rashid Magomedov, Steven Siler and Vinny Magalhaes will return for the second season. Kayla Harrison will compete in the women’s lightweight bracket for season two, but the rest of the weight classes competitors have yet to be announced at this time.

Sean O’Connell, who is the light heavyweight champion from season one, will not return as a competitor in season two, but will serve as a color commentator.

This season will also mark the promotions debut on the ESPN family of channels, as events are expected to air on ESPN 2 and ESPN+, with the final event scheduled for New Years Eve.
