Report: Ashlee Evans-Smith Faces Antonina Shevchenko At UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale
A women’s flyweight division contest has been added to the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #10 Ashlee Evans-Smith is in action against Antonina Shevchenko.
Evans-Smith (6-3-0) has been undefeated since dropping to the women’s flyweight division, having defeated Bec Rawlings at UFC 223. Evans-Smith previously competed as a bantamweight in the UFC, picking up a record 2-3-0 in the process. Evans-Smith also competed in the World Series Of Fighting, defeating Marciea Allen by third round TKO at the WSOF 10.
Shevchenko (6-0-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over sixteen years. Shevchenko competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 11, defeating Jaimelene Nievera by second round TKO. Shevchenko has competed a total of six times as a professional MMA fighter and four of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale takes place on Friday, November 30 from the Pearl Theatre At The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
