Report: Kelvin Tiller Replaces Evgeniy Goncharov In PFL Season 1

Evgeniy Goncharov has been pulled from PFL 1 and the first million dollar season according to MMA Junkie, while Kelvin Tiller is going to be replacing the fighter.

Due to Goncharov being pulled, some changes have been made to the upcoming PFL 1 event as Tiller will now face UFC veteran Alex Nicholson, while UFC veteran Jack May faces fellow UFC vet Josh Copeland, who was originally going to be Goncharov’s opponent. It is unknown at this time if Goncharov will compete in a future PFL season or if he is done with the promotion altogether.

Tiller (8-1-0) enters the season while riding a two fight winning streak, having defeated the duo of Marcus Sursa and Kevin Ray Sears. Tiller also competed three times under the Bellator MMA banner, with a notable win coming over WWE Tough Enough alumni Jeremiah Riggs. Tiller’s lone professional MMA defeat came against UFC veteran Elvis Mutapcic at the World Series Of Fighting 12 in August of 2014.

Professional Fighters League 1 takes place on Thursday, June 7 from The Hulu Theater At Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Andre Harrison and Jumabieke Tuerxun headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the NBC Sports Network.
