Bellator 198 Ratings Are In

MMA fans were treated to just a single MMA card this past weekend in the former of Bellator 198, which saw Fedor Emelianenko defeat former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir in the opening round of the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix.

The five fight main card was broadcast live on the Paramount Network, with an average of 581,000 viewers checking out the card.

Other fights on the main card saw Emmanuel Sanchez defeat UFC veteran Sam Sicilia, Rafael Lovato Jr defeat UFC veteran Gerald Harris, Dillon Danis defeat Kyle Walker and Neiman Gracie defeat Javier Torres.

Bellator 198 was also simulcast live on Country Music Television (CMT) and that brought in another 169,0000 viewers to the event.

There was a lot of stiff competition that Bellator 198 was facing on that night, as a total of three separate boxing cards aired live on ESPN, Fox and HBO. The PBC On Fox card brought in the most viewers of the three boxing events, with 839,000 people checking out that event.

Up next for Bellator MMA is Bellator 198 with King Mo and Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader in the main event. While the UFC returns to FX with a four fight preliminary card ahead of UFC 224, with Cezar Ferreira and Karl Roberson in the featured spot.
