Undertaker Didn’t Enjoy Taking Powerbombs, Says Sycho Sid’s Always Had Extra Force To Them

Despite delivering more than his fair share of them, The Undertaker is not a fan of being on the receiving end of Powerbombs.

The Undertaker, especially early in his career with WWE, was always put in the ring with large opponents ranging from Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow to Sycho Sid and “Big Daddy Cool” Diesel. One move that all of those men have in common is the Powerbomb. Even later in his career, Undertaker would regularly find himself in the ring with Batista, another master of the Powerbomb.

Regardless of who is delivering it, Undertaker was never overjoyed about taking the move it seems.

On the latest Q&A exclusive to his Patreon, Undertaker explained why he wasn’t a fan of the “bone-rattling” maneuver, noting that Sid typically delivered his Powerbombs with extra gusto.

“My least favorite [finishing move to take] would be the Powerbomb. I didn’t like taking the Powerbomb,” he began. “It was a bone rattler. It depends on the guy, too. You can let somebody float down or you can bring somebody down with a little extra trajectory.

“Sid was always in a hurry to get you down on the mat. There was a little force added to his Powerbombs,” he added.

Undertaker defeated Sid at WrestleMania 13 to win his second WWE Championship and have his first long reign with the championship

On the flip side of this conversation, Undertaker really enjoyed taking the RKO and being able to make the move look more impactful. Read his comments on that matter here
